Snapshots: Blueberry Picking

I had wanted to take the kids blueberry picking this summer, but we didn't get around to it. Lucky for us, Grammy and Grampy have a couple of bushes right in their backyard.  Dreary weather over our weekend visit had kept us from playing outside until the evening (which is why my kids are in their pj's).  Basket in tow, and grass wet from an earlier shower, we headed outdoors to see what we could find.

Ethan was so excited, directing us where to pick and carefully plucking ripe berries himself to plop into the basket.  Olivia was only too happy to hold the basket, every now and then popping her pacifier out to stuff a few berries into her mouth.  There weren't tons of berries, and certainly when Liv was done snacking there weren't many left for 'Gammy and Gampy,' but it was a fun few moments.  Those are the moments we sometimes miss when we rush... the excitement in Ethan's voice, the grin on Olivia's face - just a few moments to tuck into my pocket for another rainy day when I need it.

Of course, you know me, I had my camera in tow... some of these are a bit fuzzy (kids move fast!), but I thought I'd share these - just a few lovely memories.
