Giveaway: Kim Possible Photography

This summer, I was lucky enough to win a couple of prints from Kim McIlrath, who blogs over at Single Dou[b]t.  I was so excited to recieve my prints and contacted Kim right away to see if she would like to giveaway a print to one of my readers, too.

 

But before we get to the giveaway, let's meet this fabulous lady!

My name is Kim. I am a 30 something single girl living in NYC. A little over a year ago, I quit my 9-5 (8-7 in reality) to pursue some of my artistic passions. I am photographer, writer, knitter, and blogger. All things that make me smile. My shop was created to help showcase some of those things I love so much.

 

How awesome that you have been able to embrace your talent and follow your dreams!  I adore your prints, and your beautiful notecards, too. Tell me about your photography. 

 

My photography is as eclectic as I tend to be. I love shooting things that are rich in color. You'll see in many of my shots, that the color in the shot is what really draws you in. It might be contrast that catches your eye, but is the rich color that often keeps you there. I also love to shoot people (I really need to find a better way to say that). But I love to create art just by watching someone's personality come out. Whether its the angle of the shot or the obscurity of a shot, I love it all.

My blog is a reflection of who I am day to day. It is as scattered as I tend to be. Its often a creative outlet for my writing and my artistic passions but often its an outlet for my thoughts and my processing. Its a way for me to connect what I am learning with others who might be processing the same things.
